Derivative Copy

Original picture unable to copy, URL (Picture is 7th one from bottom) http://www.johnpaulcaponigro.com/gallery/documents/exhalation.pdf

Picture copy attempt -
I attempted to copy on of John Paul Caponigro's picture of clouds and water. It was hard to find clouds because most of the days were full clouds. This is actually of a sunset I took a picture of when It wasn't cloudy one day. I put it into photoshop, and flipped a layer to give it a mirror effect. I thought i couldn't put an ocean in there because there are no oceans herein Wisconsin. So instead I cropped an old picture of a river and blew it up and put it in the picture, It almost looks like ocean water, but a few things are off, such as: theres a visible solid area where it was cropped off, and there's no waves. I tried my best to edit out the straight edge but I couldn't. I then put up the brightness on the edge of the water to give a horizon effect to it. Overall I think I did good trying to copy his work :)

Unreal Reality... :O

This is my picture of "Fakeness" I took a picture of a ceramic house and a picture of me standing on stairs. I edited them together to look like I was standing on the tiny house checking it out. :) I think It turned out really nice. Plus I had a X-mas theme for X-mas too :) I Added "Lights" to the wreathes around the columns and on the little X-mas tree in the background. All in all, I thought this would be hard, But it was pretty easy and really fun and turned out super nice :D

Semester Re-Edits

Original: The background was too bright, and the right side needed to be cropped, and the black hair lost  all it's textures.

To fix this, I cropped of the right side. Then I lightened the shadows on the nose and the black furrr =33
Also I darkened the background to bring it out a little more...

The original: The picture is to plain all across the picture..

To fix it: I darkened around the main subject, it adds more effect to the background. Plus it almost looks that the sun is shining really bright behind the main subject.. =)

The original: For starters, the picture was a lot better in color than B & W.. Also the "framed" building was tooo bright and blown out.

Re-edit: I put it back into color, and put up the contrast. I took out some of the garbage on the ground and blended the leave slightly. I turned up the color on the Red writing and the Yellow Flowers. I Darkened the "Framed" building also so it wasn't as blown out

Centered Pictures...

This first picture is of a X-mas light on a tree outside. I really like it because the light is right in the middle, and the green on the left balances the white on the right. Also the tree is super sharp, but the background is blurry. The color of the light makes the picture look darker... =O

This picture is of some snow/ice hanging on a twig off of a tree. I really like the depth of field in this shot. It would have turned out nicer if the background wasn't so white...

Best Of...

My Best Pictures Of... =)
I Chose this alley picture because Theres alot In it.. First the framing of the dumpster and the building, and The black writing on the wall. The flowers and leaves on the ground add a mysterious effect to it... =0)

The second picture I chose was the pine leaves things from the TEXTURES assignment. I chose this because there is alot of depth in this picture. The contrast is good also. Plus there is more than one type of leaf making a weird pattern that isnt boring to look at.   =0{D

Finally I choose this plaque picture also from the TEXTURES assignment. I Chose this because there is alot of depth in the middle part where its SUPER sharp, showing alot of texture. plus there is a lot of contrast in the texture, and the letters. =,0)

Textures ^^

This first photo is of a tree/shrub thing that I just stuck the camera in it. I like it because there are a bunch of different plant types in it =) Also the Black and white make it a lot less confusing than if it was a colored picture.. =)

This is a plaque that I saw. Its neat with the SUPER sharp lines in it. Also the letters make it have a little character, I put it in Black & White because there wasn't much color in it anyways.. =)

This is a mannequin statue face thingy outside the old Wheaton Theater. The faces and the wall make neat textures =)

AND Finally, this is a light outside on a tree. Most of the texture is right under the bulb. The light was a nasty yellow-white. So I changed the color of it to a pinkish red color. It seemed to add more interest to the light/ texture spots.
