This first picture is of a X-mas light on a tree outside. I really like it because the light is right in the middle, and the green on the left balances the white on the right. Also the tree is super sharp, but the background is blurry. The color of the light makes the picture look darker... =O
This picture is of some snow/ice hanging on a twig off of a tree. I really like the depth of field in this shot. It would have turned out nicer if the background wasn't so white...
The Christmas light really lends itself to a rule of 3rds composition more than centered. IF the light had been facing the camera, it would be a better subject for centered comp.
