My Self Portraits :)

For this assignment I decided to set my camera to interval shoot and let it snap :) All the poses I did describe me in a way. And that's how I interpreted this assignment. I chose a bland background to focus on the subject.. Me :)    (Minus the towel in the back) But it's yellow. that means its awesome :)

I Love dancing and listening to my iPod :)

I am a very curious thinker when It comes to things I don't understand(:

Ayeeee :) I'm very outgoing :)

*Shuffling like a boss* I love my Hardstyle music. I LOVE shuffling :) And dancing :PP

Portrait Personality :{D <-- (Dude a mustache)

These are portraits of my Brother. The top one is of him drawing. I took the picture because I Liked the way the lighting was and because he was doing something he loved so I thought it matched the assignment.
The second one of him is him playing the drums. I like how the drumsticks are blurred by movement. The picture was really noisy so I added a photoshop filter to it to get that out of there. :) I 50/50 like this picture. Taking pictures of people isn't one of my favorite things to do.. :O

Water =) (H 2 Ohhh!) ;D

(The camera I used was a Panasonic DMC- FC18)

This is the river behind my house with the sun setting behind it. I chose this photo because.. well.. it looks just plain amazing!(: I really like that everything but the sky and the river. The trees are really cool looking also. I Didn't like that there's the stairs in the picture it's a little distracting.
Aperture: f 2.8
Shutter speed: 1/60
Focal Length: 4.7 mm
This picture is of frozen water run-off in our yard. I chose this photo because It has nice balance to it. I like that the ice looks like a frozen river but it really isn't... I would have changed the time of day to earlier in the day. It would've had better lighting then.
Aperture: f 2.8
Shutter Speed: 1/100
Focal Length: 4.6 mm
This is a photo of bubbles trapped inside ice. I chose this because the colors balance each other out and there's really nice detail to it. :D I like that it goes from brown on the bottom of the ice, to clear on the top. I could change that I could've maybe gotten a little clearer of an image..
Aperture: f 2.8
Shutter Speed: 1/15
Focal Length: 4.6 mm
This is the river behind my house with the cool sunset over it. I chose this picture because it looks really cool with the orange water. I like that instead of blue gray water. It is orange and pink. :D I would change it by that I could've zoomed out just a little bit more...
Aperture: f 3.6
Shutter speed: 1/360
Focal Length: 37.9 mm
This is a picture of my brother throwing away his fake blood. He had to dump it our so I said to throw it up and I took a picture. I chose it because I love how the liquid looks in there air. I like it because overall it looks really cool. PLUS there's water in the background also ;D I would change it by taking out all the color but the red liquid but I tried and couldn't do it in photoshop.. =/
Aperture: f 5.6
Shutter speed: 1/200
Focal Length: 4.6 mm

Double Exposured pictures :D

I did many of them and I couldn't pick my top 3 So I'll Just put them all up and you can pick your favorites :D

First of: This is a house in Illinois with a sun-setting over the river behind it. I'm not sure what ties these together but it looks cool though.. :)

Next is a town hall with doubled trees in front of it. I thought with the "creepy" looking building and the creepy trees that tied the pictures together to make a really different picture. :)

This is one of my favorites. A X-mas light layed over an x-mas light!. I just think that the two pictures look good together(= The blue over the red and the cyan next to it contrast really well together.

I love this one, Its a sunset behind a tree with ornaments. Nothing really goes together with it but the sky looks like fire and with the tree.. Fire and trees? Hmm..

And finally, Fire+Ice, probably my picture that goes the best together. It looks really cool with the fire behind the ice. I think this is my favorite of all the pictures I made. :DDD

"Why DO We Wear Them"?

Like a boss bro :)

People, Places, Things(=

First off: Places
This picture is of my yard during a big snow over break. I Really like it because you can see the snow falling in front of the trees. The contrast is a little bad but, seeing the snow in the frame almost makes up for it. :)

The second place is a big tree in front of the semi-frozen river. I really like that you can see some snow fall in the background and the open water adds a cool effect to the picture. The tree turned out really sharp and colorful (But how colorful can brown be anyways). Overall I like this picture.

Now Things:
This is a card that came in the mail for the family. I took a picture because it just looked cool. I turned it black and white because the colors were distracting. I like that you can see the metallic edges to the card that it shines.

The last "thing" is of a close up of a fire in our fireplace. I turned it a black/blue/purple color to add a huge effect to the picture. When it was orange it was to boring "just another fire picture" but now that it's   different colors it makes it look like something else besides a fire. :) This picture looks really nice overall.

And finally People:  (These pictures were taken over Thanksgiving Weekend)

This is a picture of my brother about to jump down from a stature platform in a memorial park. I thought it was a good scene so I got a quick picture before he jumped. I like the way this turned out, it makes a good scene picture. The background is a little distracting though. But the subject is pretty strong. :)

This is another picture of my brother. He was looking into an "Artist's Supplies store" I took a picture because it looked cool from where I was standing. I Took out the colors except the orange Artists Supplies neon sign. I Really like that my brother is almost framed from the reflection of the reflection in the window. the reflections add a little effect to the picture, because it gives you more to look at so you don't get bored right away. Overall I really like this picture :)

Derivative Copy

Original picture unable to copy, URL (Picture is 7th one from bottom) http://www.johnpaulcaponigro.com/gallery/documents/exhalation.pdf

Picture copy attempt -
I attempted to copy on of John Paul Caponigro's picture of clouds and water. It was hard to find clouds because most of the days were full clouds. This is actually of a sunset I took a picture of when It wasn't cloudy one day. I put it into photoshop, and flipped a layer to give it a mirror effect. I thought i couldn't put an ocean in there because there are no oceans herein Wisconsin. So instead I cropped an old picture of a river and blew it up and put it in the picture, It almost looks like ocean water, but a few things are off, such as: theres a visible solid area where it was cropped off, and there's no waves. I tried my best to edit out the straight edge but I couldn't. I then put up the brightness on the edge of the water to give a horizon effect to it. Overall I think I did good trying to copy his work :)
